When we’re intentional to share blessings, as suggested above, we demonstrate the tangible love and peace of God, transform lives and instill hope in practical ways.

Customarily during the summer months, our CWU movement takes time to refresh, vacation and enjoy family/friends. During this brief hiatus, we continue to be cognizant of our National CWU Mission that we are an inclusive ecumenical Christian women’s movement celebrating unity in diversity and empowering women to work towards a world of peace and justice.

We look to fathers for guidance, wisdom, affirmation, love, discipline and security just to name a few of the aspects of this crucial role in life and family as we know it.

We, as Christians and CWU women of faith, do not have to succumb in our endeavors to resist or overcome the realities of the evil we encounter. We’ve been and continue to equip ourselves to be steadfast in our collective initiatives to advocate for freedom and justice.

By doing so, Christians around the world living in these last days, have a strong, solid anchor (biblical doctrine) on which to base our hope, faith and eternal future and be most humble and thankful because of it.

The Women’s History Month we know today began as a local celebration in Santa Rosa, California. The Education Task Force of the Sonoma County (California) Commission on the Status of Women planned and executed a “Women’s History Week” celebration in 1978.

“Heavenly Father, we are humbled and thankful for Your unconditional LOVE towards us. Empower us to advocate for social justice, human rights and peace imparting that LOVE for all You’ve chosen us to serve. In Jesus’ name we pray and give thanks…Amen.”

I encourage you to intentionally set aside some time and meditate on those “new things” you’d like to begin and accomplish in this new year. Earnestly pray and ask the Lord to reveal to you the action(s) you should take as evidenced in Psalm 32:8, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”

As we journey through this glorious season, it’s wonderful to see all manner of Christmas decorations surrounding us, the exchange of gifts with family and friends, extending a helping hand to those in need, enjoying holiday dinners/parties, etc. In the hustle and bustle of the season,

Perhaps you or those aroud you have heard or often said, “Nothing stays the same.” When time is taken to meditate on this frequently expressed statement, we can substantiate it with countless examples.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind… Romans 12:2a

“The Lord looks down from heaven on all people. He wanted to see if there are any who understand. He wants to see if there are any who trust in God.” (Psalm 14:2 NIV)

In your workplace now or in the past, you probably took coffee breaks, lunch breaks, tea breaks and definitely bathroom breaks. Why not do the same for your spiritual life – take time out for breaks, especially “Love Breaks.” What is a “Love Break?”

A “Woman of Grace” is keenly aware that she has been uniquely created by God to fully live her life in such a way as to edify and bring honor to her Lord and Savior.
