Rev. Billie J. Simmons

Rev. Billie Simmons is a member of North Park Apostolic Church where she has served for over 20 years as an

Ordained Minister, Bible teacher, Pastoral Counselor, and Congregational Care leader. She is the leader of the

Mothers in Zion ministry. She has been a member of Church Women United since 2016 where she serves as the Recording Secretary in the

San Diego Chapter and the Regional Coordinator of the Southwest Region (which includes California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona).

She also serves on the Church Women United Board of Directors.

Rev. Simmons also serves on the San Diego County Suicide Prevention Council (SPC), Moms United, and is a Certified Gatekeeper Instructor for QPR Suicide

Prevention. Rev. Simmons received her Bachelor of Science degree at Liberty University in the field of Psychology and Christian Counseling.

She received her Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Counseling and is should complete a Master of Divinity degree in May 2023.

Rev. Simmons has been married to her husband, Charles, for 46 years. They have 4 adult children and 9 grandchildren.

They are currently raising 4 of the 9 grandchildren.

Rev. Simmons loves counseling people, sharing the Gospel, watching British

mysteries, reading non-fiction, and shopping with her granddaughters. Her favorite

scripture is Titus 2:3-5, “Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not

slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the

young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure,

working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of

God may not be reviled”.
