Mrs. Patrecia L. Williams

Patrecia L. Williams, resident of Sunrise, Florida, where she and her husband enjoy a life of retirement fulfilling the purpose for which God has called them. Patrecia’s adult daughter and son and her four grandchildren are dearly loved and cherished by her. She is a member of New Mount Olive Baptist Church, Fort Lauderdale, FL, for 35+ years and has been an active member serving in various capacities: Deaconess Women’s President, teaching Sunday School and Discipleship Development Orientation. After 42.5 years, Patrecia retired from Broward County Florida Public Schools. She was a Biology and Earth/Space Science instructor, eventually becoming a High School Intern Principal. Upon retirement, Patrecia became a Volunteer for the county’s Reading Pals initiative of helping first-graders improve their reading ability.

Introduction to the local Greater Fort Lauderdale Church Women United Unit began eight years ago. Patrecia was subsequently installed as Vice President and later became President of the Unit. She received the Valiant Woman Award in 2019 and the Key Woman Award in 2020. At the state (Florida) level, Patrecia is the Communications Chair, Finance Chair and became Vice President in 2021. She additionally serves as President of American Baptist Women of the South, the women’s auxiliary of American
Baptist Churches of the South. Serving as President of American Baptist Women of the South affords her the opportunity to serve as a board member of the national American Baptist Women’s Ministries.

Near and dear to her, as her personal outreach in the community, she purchases 25 or more infant-toddler clothing outfits each quarter of the year and donates them to a local organization servicing families with infants and toddlers.
